Lamar Jackson threw five touchdown passes, leading to a 35-14 victory over the struggling Giants.

The defeat was disheartening for everyone connected to the once-storied franchise, but it kept them in contention for the top overall pick in next year’s draft.

The Giants are currently vying with the equally challenged Raiders for the top draft spot, with both teams likely considering quarterback prospects. Tim Boyle’s performance highlighted the Giants’ need for a quarterback, completing only 12 of 24 passes for 123 yards, one touchdown, and an interception against the Ravens.

Meanwhile, the Raiders face their quarterback dilemma, as both Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew have sustained significant injuries. The team’s future ambitions rest on Desmond Ridder, a former Atlanta Falcon.

In his three seasons, Ridder has accrued 3,783 passing yards with 15 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

He will get a chance for redemption against his former team Monday night, but this could potentially impact the Raiders’ pursuit of the No. 1 pick.

Ultimately, both organizations must address the quarterback position. If they maintain their current performance levels over the next three games, they could better position themselves for a high draft pick this spring.
