Deion Sanders has decisively dismissed any speculation suggesting he is attempting to influence the draft selections of his sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, for the 2025 NFL Draft.
On social media, Sanders took to the platform to call out “multiple idiots” for spreading misinformation about him.
“It will be multiple IDIOTS that will say things that totally aren’t true regarding where I would like (Shedeur) & (Shilo) to play in the (NFL),” he tweeted. “If I say it, I will say it directly to whom it may concern, not an attention seeker. I do know (Roger Goodell) personally!”

Despite Sanders insisting that he won’t sway his sons’ draft paths, he has previously indicated that he would intervene if Shedeur, Shilo, or Travis Hunter were picked by teams he didn’t want them to join.
“All this is subjective because I know where I kind of want them to go,” Sanders mentioned in March. “And let’s not forget Shilo (Sanders). But I know where I want them to go. There are certain cities where it ain’t going to happen. …It’s going to be an Eli (Manning).”
It’s uncertain whether Sanders still harbors those views, but his input could potentially alter dynamics in the upcoming draft.
Shedeur is coming off an impressive final season at Colorado, boasting 4,134 passing yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions, in addition to scoring four times on the ground.
His stellar performance alongside Hunter contributed to the Buffaloes’ 9-4 season finish.
According to Bleacher Report’s NFL Scouting Department, Shedeur ranks as the No. 9 overall prospect in this draft class and the second-best quarterback, trailing only Miami’s Cam Ward.
While Shedeur is likely to be one of the top picks, Shilo’s prospects may be less certain. The safety had a relatively modest season, recording 45 tackles, one sack, two passes defended, and a forced fumble.
