Jets Add Kicker Greg Joseph to 53-Man Roster

The New York Jets have officially added K Greg Joseph to the 53-man roster, as confirmed by his agent Brent Tessler in a recent announcement.

Greg Joseph

Greg Joseph, age 30, began his professional journey with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent from Florida Atlantic in 2018. He initially signed a three-year contract worth $1.71 million but was waived shortly after the preseason.

Afterward, the Cleveland Browns picked him up due to an injury, allowing him to start for the remainder of the season. Throughout his career, Joseph has played for several teams, including the Panthers, Titans, Buccaneers, Vikings, Packers, and Lions, before recently joining the New York Giants.

However, the Giants released Joseph, and he quickly found a spot with the Washington Commanders. After a brief stint, the Commanders released him in December, leading to his signing with the Jets practice squad later that month.

In 2024, Joseph made appearances in six games for the Giants and one for the Commanders. He successfully converted 13 of 16 field goal attempts (an impressive 81.3 percent) while making all six extra points for the Giants. For Washington, he was 2 of 3 on field goal attempts, also successfully kicking both extra-point tries.
