The New York Jets have officially announced roster changes, including placing K Greg Zuerlein and S Chuck Clark on injured reserve.

In addition to the aforementioned moves, the Jets have successfully claimed DT Phidarian Mathis and LB Jamin Davis. They have also released K Anders Carlson, promoted K Greg Joseph from the practice squad to the active roster, and signed OT David Sharpe to the practice squad.

This marks the second time this season that Zuerlein has been placed on injured reserve.

At 37 years old, Zuerlein was a sixth-round draft pick of the Rams in 2012 and played eight seasons with the team. He completed the last year of a three-year, $6.75 million deal before entering free agency. Zuerlein signed a three-year, $7.5 million contract with the Cowboys but was released before the final year. Subsequently, he joined the Jets on a one-year deal, later re-signing for the 2023 season.

In 2024, the Jets extended Zuerlein’s contract with a two-year, $8.4 million deal. This season, he participated in eight games, successfully converting nine of 15 field goal attempts (60%) and 13 of 14 extra-point tries.

Chuck Clark, 29, was selected by the Ravens in the sixth round of the 2017 draft out of Virginia Tech. Having entered the final year of his original four-year, $2.7 million rookie contract, he signed a three-year, $16 million extension in 2020. Clark was set to earn a base salary of $3.285 million in 2023 after being traded to New York for a 2024 seventh-round pick.

During the 2024 season, Clark has played in 12 games for the Jets and recorded an impressive 69 total tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and two pass deflections.
