At 30 years old, Miller was originally selected by the Chicago Bears as a second-round draft pick in 2018. He was in the final year of a four-year, $5,353,700 contract when the Bears traded him to the Texans, swapping a seventh-round for a fifth-round pick.

After the Texans waived Miller in October 2021, he was owed a non-guaranteed base salary of $1,210,050 for that season. He later joined the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad and returned to the team on a futures deal for 2022, though he ended up spending the entire season on injured reserve.

Miller re-signed with the Steelers on a one-year deal in January but was subsequently released and then signed with the San Francisco 49ers in August. He was among the 49ers’ final roster cuts. He later signed a futures contract with the Kansas City Chiefs in January, only to be released in May.

Eventually, the Baltimore Ravens signed him to their practice squad, leading to his recent elevation to the active roster.

During the 2021 season, Miller participated in three games for both the Texans and Steelers, recording six receptions for 26 yards along with a touchdown.
