Bengals RB Chase Brown Suffered a High Ankle Sprain Diagnosis

As reported by Jordan Schultz, Bengals running back Chase Brown has been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain.

Brown sustained the injury late in Saturday’s hard-fought overtime victory against the Broncos. The Bengals have a crucial matchup in Week 18 against the Steelers, and despite the injury, Brown is determined to play. However, high ankle sprains can be particularly challenging to manage.

At just 24 years old, Brown was selected by the Bengals in the fifth round of the 2023 Draft from the University of Illinois. Notably, he is the identical twin brother of Sydney Brown, a safety for the Eagles, with whom he played at Illinois.

Brown signed a four-year rookie contract worth $4.13 million, which includes a signing bonus of $286,156.

This season, Brown has made a significant impact, appearing in 16 games for the Bengals. He has rushed for 990 yards on 229 attempts and reached the end zone seven times. Additionally, he has caught 54 passes on 65 targets for 360 yards, contributing four touchdowns to his team’s efforts.
