The Houston Texans have officially announced the elevation of cornerback D’Angelo Ross and wide receiver Jared Wayne from the practice squad to the active roster in preparation for their Week 17 matchup against the Ravens.

Jared Wayne, 24, joined the Texans as an undrafted free agent from Pittsburgh after the 2023 NFL Draft. After being released post-training camp, he was re-signed to the practice squad where he has been a key contributor this season.

The Texans offered Wayne a futures deal after the season ended, but he was later waived with an injury settlement in July before being brought back to the practice squad.

So far in 2024, Wayne has appeared in two games for the Texans, showcasing his potential on the field.
