Texans Send WR Tank Dell and S Jimmie Ward to Injured Reserve

According to Aaron Wilson, the Houston Texans have officially placed wide receiver Tank Dell and safety Jimmie Ward on injured reserve.

Tank Dell faces a challenging recovery journey and may potentially miss a significant portion of the next season.

The 25-year-old Dell was a standout in his collegiate career, receiving third-team All-American honors and being named a first-team All-AAC selection during his final season at Houston.

The Texans selected him in the third round with the 69th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year contract worth $5,689,094, which includes a signing bonus of $1,137,523.

During the 2024 season, Dell made an impact with the Texans, appearing in 14 games where he caught 51 passes for 667 yards and three touchdowns on 81 targets.
