Colts

The Colts’ defeat against the Giants in Week 17 has officially dashed their postseason aspirations for 2024. Indianapolis head coach Shane Steichen expressed his disappointment and committed to improving as they move forward.

“It was about as disappointing as it gets,” Steichen stated, via Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. “As the leader of this team, I have to be better, and we all must step up. It’s a group effort; everyone needs to do their part to prevent this kind of outcome.”

When questioned about his job security, Steichen kept his response concise.

“I control what I can control.”

Texans

  • Texans DE Derek Barnett received an $11,176 fine for roughing the passer (hit to the head/neck) in Week 16.

Titans

The Titans suffered a loss to the Jaguars in Week 17, dropping their record to 3-13 and extending their losing streak to five games. Tennessee head coach Brian Callahan reflected on the draining nature of the season filled with losses, expressing his eagerness for the offseason to set things right.

“All of this feels terrible, to be frank,” Callahan remarked, via Jim Wyatt of the team’s website. “It’s frustrating, and there’s no joy in this process. I feel the weight of it every day when I walk into work. Nothing about this is enjoyable.”

“Our responsibility is to address these issues, add necessary players, and ensure we create a better football team moving forward.”

  • Callahan noted that RB Tyjae Spears was performing well before exiting the game due to a concussion. (Jim Wyatt)
