Titans Make Seven Roster Changes, Confirm RB Tony Pollard is Out
The Tennessee Titans have officially signed K Matthew Wright from their practice squad to the 53-man roster.
In addition to Wright, the Titans have also signed G Arlington Hambright and LB Raekwon McMillan to the active roster. As part of corresponding moves, the team has released defensive backs Tre Avery and Gabe Jeudy-Lally.
Tennessee is utilizing standard practice squad elevations for OT Chandler Brewer and DB Gervarrius Owens.
Furthermore, the Titans have downgraded RB Tony Pollard and S Amani Hooker to out status for their Week 17 game against the Jaguars.
Pollard, who is 26 years old, was drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft from Memphis. He initially signed a four-year contract worth $3,187,780, which included a $667,780 signing bonus and guaranteed salary, bringing his average annual salary to approximately $796,945.
After being designated as a franchise player by the Cowboys with a value of $10.09 million guaranteed, Pollard signed a three-year, $21 million contract with the Titans this past offseason.
In the current 2024 season, Pollard has played in 15 games for the Titans, recording 248 rushing attempts for 1,017 yards (averaging 4.3 yards per carry) and scoring five touchdowns. Additionally, he has made 41 receptions for 238 receiving yards.
