Chargers Assign S Alohi Gilman for Return
According to Daniel Popper, the Los Angeles Chargers have officially designated safety Alohi Gilman to return from injured reserve.
At 27 years old, Gilman began his college football career at the Naval Academy before transferring to Notre Dame after his freshman year.
Despite being considered one of the top safety prospects by NFL scouts at one point, he ultimately fell to the Chargers in the sixth round of the NFL Draft.
In his final year of a four-year contract worth $3,483,205, which included a signing bonus of $188,205, Gilman was re-signed by the Los Angeles Chargers to a two-year deal valued at $11 million back in March.
During the 2024 season, Gilman has participated in 10 games for the Chargers, amassing a total of 47 tackles, one sack, and one interception, with all ten appearances as a starter.
