Giants Set to Start QB Drew Lock in Week 16
According to Art Stapleton, New York Giants Head Coach Brian Daboll has announced plans to start quarterback Drew Lock in Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons.
Drew Lock, 28, was a second-round draft pick by the Denver Broncos in 2019. He completed his four-year rookie contract worth $7,010,820, which included a signing bonus of $3,118,776.
In March 2022, Lock was traded to the Seattle Seahawks as part of a deal to acquire Russell Wilson. The Seahawks re-signed him to a one-year, $4 million contract in March 2023. Most recently, the New York Giants signed Lock to a one-year, $5 million deal in the offseason.
So far in the 2024 season, Lock has played in five games for the Giants, starting two. He has a completion rate of 51.1%, throwing for 414 yards without any touchdowns, but has thrown two interceptions. Additionally, he has recorded 10 rushing attempts for 129 yards and one touchdown.
