Eagles QB Jalen Hurts Disqualified Due to Concussion
The Philadelphia Eagles have officially ruled out quarterback Jalen Hurts for the remainder of today’s game against the Commanders due to a concussion.
Jalen Hurts, 26, was selected by the Eagles in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma. He originally signed a four-year contract worth $6,025,171, along with a signing bonus of $1,941,943.
For the 2023 season, Hurts was set to earn a base salary of $1.3 million before he signed a significant five-year contract extension valued at $255 million.
During the 2024 season, Hurts has played in 15 games, completing 69.2% of his passes for a total of 2,892 yards, with 18 touchdowns and five interceptions. He has also contributed significantly on the ground, rushing for 589 yards and scoring 14 touchdowns.
