Lions Make Three Roster Moves, Activate LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin from Injured Reserve
The Detroit Lions have officially announced the activation of linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin from injured reserve as of Monday.
In addition to Reeves-Maybin, the Lions are elevating running back Jermar Jefferson and defensive lineman Chris Smith. Reeves-Maybin has been sidelined since Week 9 due to a neck injury.
At 29 years old, Reeves-Maybin was selected by the Lions in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He recently completed the final year of his four-year, $3.01 million contract and signed a one-year extension with the Lions.
Furthermore, in 2022, Reeves-Maybin inked a two-year contract with the Texans worth $7.5 million, which included $5 million guaranteed upon signing. However, he later rejoined the Lions for the 2023 season on a one-year contract before agreeing to a new two-year deal ahead of the 2024 season.
So far in the 2024 season, Reeves-Maybin has participated in eight games, recording a total of 11 tackles and one forced fumble.
