Falcons Add LB Rashaan Evans to Practice Squad
The Atlanta Falcons have officially signed Rashaan Evans (LB) and Kyler Baugh (DL) to their practice squad, as announced by the team on Twitter this Tuesday.
The current Falcons practice squad features the following players:
- WR Dylan Drummond
- DL LaCale London
- WR Jesse Matthews
- DL Junior Aho (International)
- DE Khalid Kareem
- QB Nathan Peterman
- LB Josh Woods
- TE Armani Rogers
- OT Tyrone Wheatley
- WR Phillip Dorsett
- CB Lamar Jackson
- C Matt Hennessy
- RB Elijah Dotson
- DB Benny Sapp
- LB Rashaan Evans
- DL Kyler Baugh
Rashaan Evans, 29, was drafted as the No. 22 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. He was in the final year of a four-year, $11.58 million rookie contract, which included a $6.5 million signing bonus, when the Titans opted not to exercise his fifth-year option.
The fifth-year option would have cost the Titans $9.735 million fully guaranteed for the 2022 season. Consequently, Evans became an unrestricted free agent in 2022, eventually signing a one-year deal with the Falcons.
After a short tenure on the Eagles’ practice squad last season, he moved to the Dallas Cowboys, who cut him in December. He rejoined the Falcons towards the end of September and had a fluctuating presence on the roster through 2024.
During the 2023 season, Evans participated in nine games for the Cowboys, recording a total of nine tackles.
