Panthers Activate RB Miles Sanders for Return
According to Joseph Person, the Carolina Panthers have officially designated RB Miles Sanders to return from injured reserve.
Sanders has been on injured reserve since late November due to a high-ankle sprain.
The 27-year-old is a former second-round draft pick by the Philadelphia Eagles, selected in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Penn State. He fulfilled the final year of his four-year, $5.35 million rookie contract.
During his first foray into free agency, Sanders secured a four-year, $25 million deal with the Panthers. His base salaries in the last two years of the contract are set at $5.5 million and $4.3 million, respectively.
In the 2024 season, Sanders has played in nine games for the Panthers, accumulating 134 rushing yards on 36 carries (3.7 yards per carry) with one touchdown, along with 21 receptions for 98 receiving yards on 26 targets.
