According to ESPN’s Jenna Laine, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have decided to place defensive back Christian Izien on injured reserve.

At just 24 years old, Izien joined the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent after the 2023 NFL Draft, signing a three-year contract worth $2.075 million, with a base salary of $915,000 for the 2024 season.

Throughout the 2024 season, Izien made a significant impact on the field, participating in 14 games, earning 10 starts, and recording impressive statistics that include 75 total tackles, three passes defended, one forced fumble, and one interception.
