According to Darren Urban, the Arizona Cardinals are promoting RB Michael Carter and DB Andre Chachere for their Week 17 matchup.

Michael Carter, 25, has an impressive background, serving as a four-year starter at North Carolina. He earned recognition as a third-team All-American and first-team All-ACC in 2020. The New York Jets selected Carter with the 107th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

He signed a four-year contract valued at $4,287,366, which included an $807,366 signing bonus. Carter was in the midst of his third year on that contract when he was waived and subsequently claimed by the Cardinals. After initially being cut from Arizona’s final roster, he made his way back to the practice squad.

So far in the 2024 season, Carter has participated in one game for the Cardinals, rushing five times for a total of 18 yards.
