As the NFL approaches the last week of the regular season, four teams—the New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants—are tied for the league’s worst record at 3-13. Only one will secure the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Patriots currently hold the first overall pick, but the final weekend of the season could change this, allowing any of the Browns, Titans, or Giants to take the top spot.

The 2025 draft class boasts numerous talented prospects, ensuring that teams not picking first will still have excellent players available.

As the draft order is being finalized, here’s an updated mock draft based on projected selections from Tankathon.com.

No player from the University of Colorado has ever been drafted first overall. However, that may change in 2025, with top talents like Hunter and Sanders vying for the top spot.

If the Patriots secure the top pick, it’s unlikely they will select a quarterback given their recent choice of Drake Maye at No. 3 last year. Instead, they would likely opt for Hunter, the reigning Heisman Trophy recipient who possesses an impressive skillset.

Will Hunter be utilized as both a wide receiver and cornerback in the NFL? Time will tell. Regardless of his position, the 21-year-old is poised to make a significant impact thanks to his skillset and potential.

Expect Hunter to be the first player selected unless the team with the top pick needs a quarterback.

2. Tennessee Titans: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

Sanders is likely to be the first quarterback chosen in the NFL draft, possibly making Colorado the first school with the top two selections.

In his senior year with the Buffaloes, Sanders passed for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns while contributing four rushing touchdowns, earning the title of Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.

The Titans might consider moving on from Will Levis, their second-round pick in 2023, who is unlikely to be a long-term solution for the franchise.

If the Titans fall between the No. 1 and No. 2 picks, they could very well secure Sanders.

3. Cleveland Browns: Cam Ward, QB, Miami

The dynamics of the draft could shift significantly based on the Browns’ selection, particularly if they end up with a higher pick than the Giants, who may be in need of a quarterback. New York could consider trading up if they land at No. 4.

Cleveland may also be on the lookout for a quarterback. Deshaun Watson’s inconsistent health and performances have raised questions about his future with the team.

If Sanders is unavailable, it’s likely the Browns will turn to Ward as their next choice at quarterback.

Having played two seasons at Washington State and one at Miami, Ward could transition smoothly into the NFL.
