Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders expressed his astonishment after spotting a fan’s sign urging the Las Vegas Raiders to tank for him in the 2025 NFL draft.

On his podcast, 2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders, he described the event as “crazy” (2:30 mark).

“Whenever you see a fan take the time out of their day to create that sign, and it ends up on TV, it’s just like, dang, this is crazy,” Sanders reflected. “It feels real. It’s real now.”

During a tense moment in the Raiders’ 15-9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on December 16, a fan was spotted holding a sign urging the team to secure the Buffaloes signal-caller.

Shedeur Sanders finished eighth in the 2024 Heisman Trophy voting, leading Colorado to an impressive 9-3 record.

Throughout 12 games, he completed 74.2% of his passes for a total of 3,926 yards, throwing 35 touchdowns against just eight interceptions. He also added four rushing touchdowns.

Both the Raiders and the New York Giants have been mentioned as potential suitors for Sanders.

He is projected to be a top pick in the 2025 NFL draft, with the latest mock draft by Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski indicating Las Vegas may select him with the No. 2 overall pick.

B/R NFL Scout Dame Parson praised Sanders’ pocket presence in his scouting report.

“Shedeur Sanders is one of the purest passers from the pocket in college football and the NFL Draft class,” Parson noted. “This makes him appealing to NFL offensive coordinators and head coaches.”

However, the Raiders may have hurt their chances for a top pick after securing a 19-14 victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

Currently, the Giants hold the top pick with a record of 2-13, while five teams share a 3-12 record.
