Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart has officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft through a series of social media announcements made on Friday.
Despite his draft declaration, Dart confirmed he will still suit up for the Rebels’ upcoming matchup against Duke in the Gator Bowl on January 2.
At just 21 years old, Dart is currently ranked as the No. 6 quarterback and No. 55 overall player in the 2025 draft class, according to Bleacher Report’s latest big board.
Ole Miss fell short of securing a place in the College Football Playoff following a loss to Florida on November 23. However, Dart was instrumental in leading a team that ranked first in the SEC for scoring, averaging 37.5 points per game.
Throughout 12 games this season, Dart completed an impressive 68.6% of his passes, throwing for a total of 3,875 yards, with 25 touchdowns against only six interceptions. He also contributed significantly on the ground, rushing for 452 yards and scoring three additional touchdowns.

In his tenure with the Rebels over the past three seasons, Dart has set a new school record as the all-time leader in career passing yards.
Dame Parson, a B/R NFL Scout, praised Dart’s remarkable pocket presence and his ability to throw from various arm angles in his scouting report.
“Dart utilizes multiple arm angles and slots to accurately fit passes, depending on the position of defenders,” Parson noted. “When kept clean in the pocket, he demonstrates a quick and efficient release. When there is no threat of a pass rush, Dart shows exceptional patience to read the field meticulously and complete his progressions.”
As he prepares for his final college game, Dart will face a Duke defense that has limited opponents to an average of just 194.8 passing yards per game in 2024.
